Man arrested over Whangamata shooting

5:03PM Tuesday March 18, 2008 A 24-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting in the Coromandel Peninsula overnight. Detective Sergeant Glenn Tinsley said the Whangamata man had been charged with assault with intent to rob after handing himself in to police today. He will appear in Waihi District Court on March 25, when he is also expected to face firearms charges. More>>>
